This location's roots go back to October 22, 1982, when it first opened as a Showbiz Pizza Place. Like most SPPs, this location had the all-too-familiar "Rock-A-Fire Explosion" shows and stage.
In 1991, as part of the nationwide "Concept Unification" process (which was set in motion to convert all Showbiz restaurants in America to Chuck E. Cheese's restaurants), the Talladega Showbiz Pizza was shut down and was shortly reopened as a Chuck E. Cheese's.
